In § Spiral Dynamics, “tierism” is a worshiping of the second tier (Yellow, Turquoise) and believing that it is better and we should move and “achieve” it. (According to Cowan₂₀₁₃, the gap between first and second tier is not so big.)

Partially, this happens because Spiral Dynamics defines hierarchy even though it tries not to. So it is natural to think that higher levels are better.

Tierism can also lead to “Integral” re-coloring. By believing second tier is better, people try to mimic second tier thinking.
