There are two domains of knowledge: explicit and implicit. Dreyfus model takes into account the implicit knowledge only. It assumes that gaining implicit knowledge (intuition) is the end goal.

Thus, Dreyfus model has difficulty explaining that require complex implicit/explicit knowledge interaction: solving very complex solving (finding solutions to problems), as opposed to explaining routines.
