📝Authors are biased to defend their theories
After an author publishes a major theory, they are biased to defend it. It’s next to impossible to accept your theory is wrong (or has flaws), especially if you spent 10+ years publishing papers about it.
It is equally hard to accept there is any error in your publication, for it diminishes your credibility as a scientist.
While scientists declare there are no conflicts of interest when they publish papers, well there is.
