The PARA Method: A Universal System for Organizing Digital Information

PARA method is a method for organizing all tasks/information

4 categories:

  • Project

    • group of task with a goal and a deadline
  • Area (of responsibility)

    • a sphere of activity with a standard to be maintained over time
  • Resource

    • a topic or theme of ongoing interest
  • Archive

    • inactive items of all other categories

The main idea is that categories are sorted by actionability Project > Area > Resource > Archive.

PARA Method might be a good protection against Collector’s Fallacy as it forces you to file notes based on actionability.
